Interval sensitivity analysis of joint dynamics in complex built-up structures

چکیده

The dynamic properties of joints, or inter-component connections, are a principal source uncertainty when modelling complex built-up structures. In the present paper, we propose an interval-based sensitivity analysis (SA) to establish contribution, influence, structure’s uncertain joint dynamics towards its coupled admittance. We choose interval SA as it overcomes limitations conventional local and global methods; accuracy computation efficiency, respectively. Furthermore, avoids need for detailed probabilistic data describe each joint, which is often unavailable. proposed based on dual formulation sub-structuring problem utilises Sherman–Morrison formula factor out contribution individual joint. A used represent stiffness damping, precise bounds assembly’s admittance (also operational response) determined following application specific algorithm. relative change between input (joint damping) output (complex admittance) area chosen metric rank order influence method illustrated by numerical example.
